Gary Gallupe

Gary Walter Gallupe, 82, of Knoxville, Maryland, passed from this life on Monday, September 14, 2020 at his home.

Born on July 1, 1938, in Ft. Fairfield, Maine, he was the son of the late, Asa T. Gallupe and Margaret L. (Dorsey) Gallupe. Following high school, Gary worked construction at Loren’s Air Force prior to serving in military.  He was a proud veteran of the United States Air Force. Gary graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Electronic Technology from Capital Tech and worked for General Electronic Labs, Defense Electronics and Microdyne. In 1980, Gary and Lillian branched out and began their own electronics company, Apcom (Applied Communications). He was a member of the Belleair Country Club and the Clearwater Yacht Club. He also participated in the FCC Amateur Radio Club Member and the Capital Tech College Alumni.

Gary is survived by his son, Derek John Gallupe, wife Joy and granddaughter Danielle; his daughter, Christine Monika Neubauer and grandson Tyler Neubauer; and his sister, Carol and husband Jerome Clair.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Mary Gallupe of Belleair FL and his grandson, Kurt Neubauer.

Gary will be fondly remembered for his passion of "Gallupe Canoes" and his canoe trips in Maine, flying his plane, sailing his boat with friends, adventures with Lillian and the family, and his canine companions.

Gary's service and interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in his hometown of Ft. Fairfield, Maine.
