Mr. Gary F. Barber, 72, of Ijamsville, MD passed away Monday, February 27, 2012 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Judith Barber of Ijamsville, MD.
Born on June 30, 1939 in London Ontario, Canada he was the son of the late Lymon Ford and Margaret Murphy Barber.
Mr. Barber received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Michigan State University. Prior to his retirement he worked as a management consultant. Gary was an avid sports fan, he especially enjoyed football. He was also a proud alumni of Michigan State where he was a Kappa Sigma.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Patrick Barber and wife Miriam of Hamburg, NY, Christopher Barber and wife Susan of Wiesbaden Germany and Jodilyn Barber and fiance Mike McGee of Ijamsville, MD; grandchildren Brittany, Anthony, Jacob, Ashley, Lilly, Luke and Layne Barber.
He is preceded in death by his son Daniel Barber.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick Saturday, March 3, 2012 for a time of sharing at 3PM.
