Gary Albright, Sr.

Gary W. Albright Sr., 74, of Thurmont, passed from this life on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at his home with his family by his side. He was the husband of Sallie Albright, his wife of 54 years.
Born on July 15, 1947, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late William and Betty Hanna Albright.
He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1964-68 during the Vietnam War. Gary, a general contractor operated Albright Construction.
His family was the most important thing in his life and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping with family and friends. He also enjoyed horseback riding competitions,eating at fine restaurants as well as gatherings at home, grilling and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving in addition to his wife are two children: Daryl Albright of Thurmont and Gary W. Albright, Jr. The family would like to thank the many friends that have been so supportive to Daryl and Sallie.
The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM on Wednesday, December 22, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, where a celebration of Gary's life will begin at 1:00 PM on Thursday, December 23, with Rev. Tim May officiating. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 405 Williams Court, Suite 120, Baltimore, MD 21220.
