Gareth May

Gareth Cole May, 72, of Boonsboro, Maryland, went to be with the Lord on Monday, December 20, 2010 at the Meritus Medical Center.
Born on November 7, 1938, in Cleveland, Ohio, he was the son of the late Richard G. May and Eleanor (Cole) May.
He was a 1963 graduate of the University of Maryland.
Mr. May was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church in Rohrersville, Maryland.
He was part owner and vice-president of Keller-May Plumbing and Heating in Kensington, Maryland. Mr. May was also intrumental in establishing the McLean School at the Inverness Campus along with Mr. William P. McClure in Potomac, Maryland where he served on the Board of Director's for many years.
Gary, as known by his family and friends, interests included; tennis, fishing, photography, and reading.
Gary is survived by his wife of fourty eight years, Joanne May; one daughter, Rebecca L. and the late, Brian L. Henson; two sons, Scott A. May and Christopher VB. May; two sisters, Marcia Hummers and Melinda Blue. Gary is also survived by five grandchildren, Margaret and Curtis Henson, Brandon May, and Chloe and Rocco May.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland with the Rev. John W. Schildt officiating.
