Gale Leon Kline, 84, of Boonsboro, Maryland passed from this life on July 7, 2015 at Reeder's Memorial Home in Boonsboro.
Born on May 20, 1931 in Wolfsville, Maryland, he was the son of the late Herman and Donna (Pryor) Kline. His wife Patricia E. (Smith) Kline , preceded him in death.
Gale was a 1948 graduate of Middletown High School.
He was the co-owner with his wife of Kline's Galleries in Boonsboro for 30 years. He worked as a salesman for Model Garage in Middletown from the late 1940s through the 1960s and for a few years at Hoffman Chevrolet in Hagerstown.
He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.
He was a member of the Clopper-Michael American Legion Post 10 of Boonsboro and he was a member of the Korean War Veterans Association.
Gale is survived by his three sons, Dana G. Kline and his wife Carol of Rosemont, Maryland, David H. Kline and his wife Irina of Hagerstown, Maryland, Carroll Michael Kline and his wife Robyn of Woodbine, Maryland; sister, Betty Sheffler of Middletown; his seven grandchildren, Elizabeth Kline-Moyer, Derek Kline, Lisa Kline Durant, Gregory Kline, Curt Kline, Rooklyn Kline, and Evgeniya Prokhno. He is also survived by three great grandchildren, Dylan, Dallas, and Olivia.
In addition to his parents and wife, Gale is preceded in death by his infant sister Margaret Jane Kline and his sister Thelma Grace (Kline) Gildersleeve.
A Graveside Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, July 10 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church Cemetery, 12704 Wolfsville Road in Wolfsville, Maryland. The Rev. Darrell L. Layman will officiate. Military honors will be rendered by the Clopper-Michael American Legion Post 10 in Boonsboro.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, Post Office Box 55, Rohrersville, Maryland, 21779, or to Hospice of Washington County Maryland.
