Gail Lynn Young, 69, of Brunswick, passed away from this life on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Frederick Health Hospital.
Born on March 11, 1955, in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edwin Lantz and Jean Elizabeth (Kinsey) Lantz. Gail was married to David E. Young, just celebrating their 50th anniversary.
Gail attended Governor Thomas Johnson High School, graduating in 1973. After high school, she attended the Computer Learning Center in Tyson Corner. Gail started her career as a computer librarian with Geico for 22 years, playing coed softball too. She then worked at Endless Summer RV as a parts manager and JP Morgan Chase Financial Company/Mamsi Insurance. She was a life member of the Brunswick Volunteer Fire Company for over 35 years, with dedicated service to helping her community. Gail enjoyed camping at Riverbend, late-night fishing shenanigans with Debbie Winpigler, going to annual Fireman's conventions in Ocean City, and taking cruises. She loved going on lunch dates with friends and often found herself shopping with her granddaughters. The holidays, especially Christmas Eve with her extended family.
Gail is preceded in death by her parents, sister, Brenda Kaste, and John Taulton Sr. She is survived by her husband, David; daughter, Courtney Nalborczyk (Reds Nalborczyk); granddaughters, McKenzie Nalborczyk (Josh Amberman), Madison Nalborczyk (Hunter Jacobs), Rylynn, and Hailee Nalborczyk; sister, Debbie Taulton; brother, David Lantz; and nephews, Michael Ahalt, and John Taulton, Jr. Gail’s greatest gifts were her grandchildren, and being a part of their lives, particularly when able to attend their sporting events.
The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday, January 6, 2025, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 North Maple Avenue in Brunswick.
A celebration of Gail’s life journey will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, at Stauffer Funeral Home in Brunswick. Rev. Tim May will officiate. Final resting place ceremonies will be held at St. Lukes Cemetery in Feagaville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Lukes Cemetery Fund at 5463 Jefferson Pike, Frederick, MD, 21703. Expressions of sympathy may be offered to the family at StaufferFuneralHome.com.
