Gail Reeder

Gail Linwood Reeder, 74, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 4, 2011 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown.

Born on July 31, 1937, in Locust Grove, Maryland, he was the son of the late Ralph W. and Mabel M. (Poffenberger) Reeder.

Gail was a 1955 graduate of Boonsboro High School.

He had been employed with Capital Milk Cooperative in Frederick, Maryland, and retired in 1999 from Ellsworth Electric, Inc. in Hagerstown.

Gail was a member of Mt. Zion Lutheran Church at Locust Grove and the Improved Order of Redmen Tribe #155 in Boonsboro.

Gail loved antiquing, visiting flea markets, chopping wood and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren.  He will be greatly missed by his loving family.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou (Potter) Reeder; four daughters, Sherry Bingaman and her husband Dave, Teresa Mills and her husband Bill, Kerri Reeder, and Gerri Zaccaria, all of Boonsboro; two sisters, Deloris A. Smith and her husband Wilfred, and Lois Y. Webber, all of Boonsboro; his brother, Ralph E. and his wife Betty Reeder, of Boonsboro; seven grandchildren, Jamie and Jordan Bingaman, Shane and Dana Mills, Lindsey Stull, and Nicholas and Sarah Zaccaria; and one great-grandson, Aidan Mills.  He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Donald W. Reeder.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, November 6, 2011 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro.  Rev. Blaine E. Feightner will officiate.  Final resting place ceremonies will take place at the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery at Locust Grove.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2011 at the funeral home.
