Frederick W. Spielman, Jr.

Mr. Frederick W. Spielman, Jr., 84 of Frederick, passed away on Friday, January 8, 2010 at the Kline Hospice House. He was the husband of Betty Eyler Spielman, his wife of 59 years.

Born November 28, 1925 in Martinsburg, WV he was the son of the late Frederick and Elizabeth Spielman.

He was a member of the Methodist Church.

He served in the United States Army Air Coprs during World War II and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Frederick retired from the Singer Company where he held various management positions and then he also retired from the National 4-H Council after nine years.

He was an avid reader and he enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and spending time with is family.

In addition to his loving wife, Betty he is survived by his two daughters, Deborah Richards and husband Charles of Clarksburg and Rebecca McKinnon and husband Ray of Frederick, a brother, Daniel W. Spielman and wife Eva of Easton, grandchildren, Christopher Richards and wife Elizabeth, Matthew Richards and wife Robin and Douglas McKinnon.

Visitation: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Sunday, January 10th from 4:00-6:00 PM.

Services: Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, January 11th at 11:00AM with Rev. Seminary Virgil Cain.

Interment will be private at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
