Franklin David Williams, fondly known as Frankie by his family and friends, 29, of Brunswick, died unexpectedly Wednesday, January 6th in Charles Town, West Virginia in an accident at work. He will be remembered most of all for his kindness and willingness to aid and assist others.
Frank loved the great outdoors, had a passion for helping people, loved learning, and had a special talent with caring for plants, animals, and all things nature and was devoted to its preservation and restoration.
Frankie was born June 21, 1986 in Frederick, MD and he resided in Brunswick, MD. Frank graduated from Brunswick High School with the Class of 2004. He went on to study Criminal Science at Frederick Community College where he obtained an Associate's Degree. Frank worked for TGI Friday in Frederick for 13 years. An avid and devoted outdoorsman, Mr. Williams was a Master Gardener and a member of the Catoctin Fish & Game Protective Association, at Myersville. He also served as a Reserve Officer for the Maryland Natural Resources Police, the state's oldest law enforcement organization. Frank was deeply involved with Faith Baptist Church in Knoxville, Maryland. While with the church Frank chose to devote his time to missionary work in Honduras and Georgia.
Frankie is survived by his parents, Frank and Pattie Williams, a young brother, Rusty, of Brunswick; an older brother, Lt. Chad Athey, U.S. Army, his wife Brandy and their two sons Jeremy and Ryan in Georgia; an older sister Kim, her husband Rob Dornberger, and their daughter Marinda Estep of Ranson, West Virginia, and their son Bobby Parrish of Frederick, Maryland. His maternal grandmother, Shirley Darnell of Frederick, Maryland and paternal grandmother, Lorraine Williams of Brunswick, Maryland. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather Chester Leroy Stone and paternal grandfather Noel David Williams. Frankie will be greatly missed and will be fondly remembered by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Frankie will be most sorely missed by his fiancé, Felicia Jenkins, also of Brunswick and her family Beverly Jenkins, Everett and Gwendolyn Jenkins, Ashley Jenkins and Courtney Jenkins of North Carolina, and TaMeisha and Jeremy Norris of Virginia.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, January 15, 2016 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 North Maple Avenue in Brunswick and one hour prior to services on Saturday at the church.
A celebration of Frankie's life will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 16 at Faith Baptist Church, 2212 Jefferson Pike, Knoxville, MD with Rev. Duane Musgrove officiating. Burial will follow in Lovettsville Union Cemetery.
