Mr. Franklin William Anders, 76, of Frederick, Maryland passed away on Monday, April 18, 2011 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Shirley A. Anders.
Born on September 21, 1934 he was the son of the late Charles and Iona Stackhouse Anders.
Mr. Anders was avid fisherman who also loved gardening his flowers and vegetables. Franklin loved spending time with his dogs Lucy and the late Pebbles. He also loved listening to music and visiting his wife Shirley’s grave every Sunday.
He is survived by his children Franklin Anders, Jr. and wife Penny of AL, Tammy Williams and husband Eric of Jefferson, Robin Anders of Frederick, Kimberly Maners of Frederick, Tony Anders and wife Lisa of Frederick, Bryan Anders and wife Cathy of Middletown and Shannon Nicole Harrison of NY, 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sister Hilda of Thurmont and brother Bobby and wife Christine of Thurmont.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 21, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, where services will be held Friday, April 22 at 2 PM with Pastor Kathryn Vitalias Hoffman officiating.
Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
