Mr. Franklin Roosevelt Abrecht, Jr., 57, of Frederick, MD died Monday, October 15, 2012 at his residence.  He was the husband of Lark Droneburg Abrecht for 36 years.

Born October 9, 1955 in Bolivar, WV he was the son of Myrtle I Dailey Abrecht of Frederick and the late Franklin R. Abrecht, Sr.

Mr. Abrecht graduated from Thomas Johnson High School in 1973.  He worked at Farmers and Mechanics National Bank for 30 years.  Franklin then worked as a manager for the Salvation Army thrift shop for several years.  He was an avid Nascar and Baltimore Orioles fan.  Franklin also enjoyed spending time at the beach.

In addition to his wife and mother he is survived by his childrenJeffrey David Abrecht of Hagerstown, Craig Matthew Abrecht and wife Courtney of Fairfield, PA and Amanda Dawn Abrecht of Frederick; 2 grandchildren Lily Wolf and Calvin Abrecht; one sister Dianne Sears of Frederick and four brothers Larry Abrecht and wife Shelley of Frederick, Charles Abrecht and wife Diana of Sharpsburg, Terry Abrecht and companion Shelva of Martinsburg, WV and Jerry Abrecht of Frederick and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Thursday, October 18, 2012 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM.  A funeral service will be held Friday, October 19, 2012 at 11 AM at South End Baptist Church, 506 Carrollton Dr., Frederick, MD.  Pastor Ken Stulls will officiate.

Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
