Frank Murphy, Jr.

Mr. Frank T. Murphy, Jr., of Frederick, died Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at Northampton Manor Health Care. He was the husband of Delores J. Delauter Murphy.They were married on August 10, 1951.
Born October 15, 1930 in Frederick, he was the son of the late Frank T., Sr,. and Gertrude Kolb Murphy.
Mr. Murphy worked as a brick mason in the construction field. He was a member of the American Legion FSK Post #11, Frederick; a life member of the National Rifle Association; and a member of the Maryland and National Trappers associations. He loved to fish, hunt and trap. He also was a handyman, especially with restoring furniture. Mr. Murphy loved gardening.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Susan Murphy, and a sister, Sally Ramsburg.
He was predeceased by his son, Dennis T. Murphy in 2007 and a sister, Violet Neal in 2009.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Services will begin at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 16 from the funeral home chapel. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Elsabeth Hilke.
Interment will follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Monrovia.
