Mr. Frank Henry Dietz, 71, of Frederick passed away on Sunday, August 5, 2018 at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. He was the husband of Suzanne Anderson.
Born on February 11, 1947, in France, to Otto A. Dietz and Jeanine M.A. Luxer, a native Parisian. They met during WWII in occupied France.
Frank was a sergeant in the US Air Force, loading munitions onto various fighter planes. Frank worked for Gould until 1991. In 1993 he joined the Maryland Stadium Authority at Orioles Park, Camden Yard, as an operations manager. He retired from the MSA in 2008 after 17 years.
Frank met his wife Suzanne in 1992 when they served on the TROT Mounted Search and Rescue Team.
Frank enjoyed his Harley Davidson motorcycle, clocking over 160,000 miles, replacing the motor once. He traveled Route 66 from start to end, rode to Yellowstone, to Sturgis S. Dakota, to New Orleans, to Daytona and the Florida Keys. Frank and Suzanne took many driving trips around North America, including the Canadian Maritimes, New England, Arizona, Lake Superior, and Wyoming.
Frank is survived by his wife Suzanne and his brother Larry Dietz. He leaves behind a beautiful farmette on which he was constantly working and improving, and his 3 feline "kids", Squeakers and her kitten-boyz, Cheech and Smoke.
Frank will be cremated and at a later date Suzanne will scatter his ashes in the Grand Tetons, WY. A private get-together is planned. Friends and families will be notified.
