Frank Beatty

Mr. Frank Beatty died on January 23, 2007 at Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick, MD.

Mr. Beatty is survived by his children; Jonathan Beatty of Cromwell, Ct and daughter Elizabeth {Betsy} Waugh and husband David of Frederick, MD, two grand- children; Alex and Chris Waugh of Frederick.

Mr. C. Francis Beatty was born on March 19, 1921 in Brooklyn, NY and married Mary Rice in 1934. He spent his adult life as a teacher, first for Storm King School in Cornwall-on-the-Hudson, and then dedicating his skills as a teacher and mentor for the Kingswood-Oxford School in West Hartford CT for thirty-four years.

After retiring in 1986, he chose to spend his time with his wife Mary, and his passion for photography. He loved to spend summers in his retreat on Long Island, where the maintenance and upkeep of the summer home gave him a forum for the peace and tranquility he craved.

Frank Beatty will be remembered by many former students as the consummate teacher and by his fellow teachers as a friend and mentor they could always turn to for guidance and fellowship. He will be missed by all who knew him. As we remember him, he would like very much to have any monetary support sent to the Kingswood-Oxford School in West Hartford, CT, care of Dick Caley.
