Francis Joseph {Frank} Duranko, Jr.

Mr. Francis Joseph Frank Duranko, Jr., 50, of Frederick, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2009, at his residence. He was the husband of Charis Jill Harper Duranko, his wife of 25 years.

Born on May 10, 1959, in Uniontown, PA, he was the son of Francis J. Duranko of Uniontown, PA and the late Marjorie Lucille Williams Duranko.

He was Regional Facilities Coordinator for Dobson Communications. Frank was a 1977 graduate of Robert E. Peary High School in Rockville. He coached and played softball his entire adult life in Montgomery County. Frank was a coach and member at large of the Frederick Little League Baseball Association.

Surviving in addition to his wife and father are 2 children: Jillian H. Duranko and Francis J. Trey Duranko, III both of Frederick; a grandmother, Margaret Duranko of Uniontown, PA; a brother, Joe Duranko; 2 sisters: Cynthia Duranko and Susan Bache as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation: The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM on Tuesday, December 8, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.

Services: A memorial service will be held at the funeral home at 4:00 PM on Wednesday, December 9, with Rev. Joe Foster of Grace UCC officiating

Interment will be private.
