Francis Shriner

Mr. Francis L. Shriner, 77, of Thurmont, Maryland, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at his home. He was the husband of Doris Harbaugh Shriner.
Born November 15, 1935 in Thurmont, Maryland, he was the son of the late Carl and Stella Kreitz Shriner.
Francis was a graduate of Thurmont High School class of 1954. He served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a lifetime member of AMVETS post #7, the Thurmont American Legion Post #168, and was life member of the Blue Ridge Sportsman’s Association. He enjoyed spending time with his family gardening, hunting and fishing.
In addition to his wife , he is survived by his children, Christine and Johnny, Darlene and Tommy, Donald, Joanne all of Thurmont, all of Thurmont, his grandchildren Terry, Sandi, Trevor, Vicki, Susan, Neil, Stacey, Dennis, Susie, Barb, Chris, John, Brenda, Monica, Arnold, Curtis, Daniele, Joseph, Tiffany, Carly, Jimmy, Jeremy, Lindsey, Elizabeth, and Lane great grandchildren Heather, Arnie, Beca, Julie, Chris, Rosalyn, Joe, Todd, Sara, Jenna, Colton, Ethan, Aidan, Simeon, Aaron, Katie, Rachel, Eli, Roman, Landon, Micah and Graysen, great-great grandchildren Kylie and Corbin, four sisters Margaret and Bud, Ruth and Kenny, Pauline and Gene and Martha and Ronnie. Many nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his grandchildren Peggy, Angie and Neil and a brother Kenneth Shriner.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 104 E. Main Street, Thurmont, Sunday, March 3, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where service will be held Monday, March 4, at 10:00 am, with Pastor Sue Koenig officiating.
Interment Creagerstown Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Terry, Trevor, John, Curtis, Jeremy and Neil.
