Mr. Francis Eugene “Bruce” Reeley, 95, of Frederick, MD passed away, Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the loving husband of Margaret Hobbs Reeley.
Born October 4, 1919 in Savage, MD, he was the son of the late Clarence T. and Rose Curry Reeley.
Bruce served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as a Gunnersmate. Before his retirement, he was manager of Morningside Cleaners in Aspen Hill for many years. After retirement, he became a wonderful woodworker making many beautiful bird carvings for friends and family.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter, Janis Byrne and husband, Joseph; son, Ronald Reeley and wife, Brenda; grandchildren, Michael, Christopher and Julie; great-grandchildren, Ethan, Kate, Sydney, Hannah and Kylee; and his sister, Velma Hudgins of North Carolina.
Bruce was predeceased by siblings, Weldon A. Reeley, Peggy A. Queen, and Doris White.
A Memorial Service will be held at Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridge Boulevard, Mt. Airy, MD, Tuesday, October 14, at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until service time.
Interment private.
