Frances Krowka

Frances S. (Muraszko) Krowka, 96, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed from this life on Sunday, May 17, 2015 at Fahrney-Keedy Home & Village in Boonsboro.
Born on May 30, 1918, in Northampton, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine (Slucarz) Muraszko. Her husband, Stanley J. Krowka, preceded her in death on February 28, 2010.
Frances was resident of New York City for over 60 years, relocating to Maryland after the death of her husband. Frances enjoyed travel, gardening, cooking, and oil painting and had a smile for everyone she met.
She is survived by two sons, James S. Krowka of Dexter, Oregon, and John F. Krowka, of Boonsboro.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Helen Zaik and Mary Nalwalk.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at St. James Catholic Church, 121 North Main Street in Boonsboro. Rev. Juan Rubio will officiate. Frances will be laid to rest in a private ceremony next to her husband at St. Mary's Cemetery in Northampton.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2015at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro.
