Frances Kauffman

Mrs. Frances Pauline Kauffman, 89, of Frederick, MD passed away Monday, May 16, 2011 at her home. She was the wife of the late Leonard Kauffman.

Born on July 11, 1921 in Rocky Ridge, MD she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Belva Baugher Keeney.

Frances retired from the Board of Education. She enjoyed watching her judge shows on T.V., gardening, shopping and taking family vacations to Chincoteague, VA. She was very content sitting on her front porch and taking care of her children and grandchildren.

Surviving are her two daughters Judy Kauffman of New Windsor, MD and Debra Rose of the home; nine grandchildren including Victoria Rose of the home, whom was her loving caregiver, which made it possible for Frances to remain at home; nineteen great-grandchildren; eleven great-great-grandchildren; sisters Grace Forney of Taneytown and Betty Albaugh of Waynesboro, PA and numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her son Edward Kauffman, two grandsons John Tobery, Jr. and Gary Schisler; great granddaughter Cheyenne Anderson; brothers Walter, Charles, Samuel and Roland Keeney and sisters Virginia Tawney and Mildred Toms.

Friends may call from 7-9 PM on Wednesday, May 18 and Thursday, May 19, at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick where services will be held on Friday, May 20 at 10 AM. Rev. Lloyd Fuss will officiate.

Interment will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
