Frances Gardner

Frances N. (Rhoderick) Gardner, 87, of Frederick, MD, died Wednesday, August 26, 2015 at Country Meadows. She was the beloved wife of the late Samuel F. Gardner, III. They were married for 67 years. Born February 10, 1928 in Frederick, MD, she was the daughter of the late Frances and Vernon Rhoderick. Frances was an avid reader and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Gardner worked 18 years at Governor Thomas Johnson High School in food service and was a member of Woodsboro Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Frances is survived by her sons S. Kevin (JoAnne) Gardner of Libertytown, MD, Gary L. (Kathy) Gardner of Eldersburg, MD and the late Marta Gardner Trimble; grandmother of Manda (Drew) Mackintosh, Justin (Margo) Gardner and Matthew Gardner; great-grandmother of Cortland and Annabelle Mackintosh.
Relatives and friends may call at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD on Sunday, August 30, 2015 from 2-4 and 6-8 pm with service at 7 pm. Entombment private.
