Frances Beall

Mrs. Frances I. “Betty” Beall, 86, of Homewood at Crumland Farms, formerly of Frederick and Braddock Heights, died September 15, 2010. Born May 15, 1924, she was the daughter of the late James C. and Frances Wachter Grimes of Frederick. Mrs. Beall was the widow of the late Irving “Buddy” Beall, who predeceased her in 1960. She was a graduate of Frederick High School, class of 1941. Mrs. Beall was employed for over forty years by Frederick Theatres, Inc., as a theater manager and assistant to company president Dan Weinberg. She is survived by a nephew, James F. Grimes of Walkersville; a sister-in-law, Agnes Grimes of Walkersville; a great-niece, Holly Fouche of Frederick; and a number of great-nieces and a great-nephew. She was predeceased by her brother, James C. Grimes, and a nephew, Alan E. Grimes. She will be remembered by her godchildren Danielle Weinberg of Braddock Heights and Robert D. Weinberg of Washington, by her devoted friends Danyce Weinberg and Aldan Weinberg of Braddock Heights, and by family friend Constance Schlee of Frederick. Contributions may be made in her memory to the charity of one’s choice. Graveside services will be held at Faith United Church of Christ, 9333 Oppossumtown Pike, Frederick, at 2:00pm on Saturday, September 18th with Pastor Katie Penick officiating.
