Florence [Flossie] Lidie

Mrs. Florence Flossie Lidie, 82, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday July 15, 2009. She was predeceased by her first husband Charles Russell Frushour Sr. and her second husband Thomas E. Lidie Sr. She was also predeceased by her daughter Donna Cannon, her brother Edward Gray Sr., a daughter in law Janice Lidie and a grandson Jimmy Baker.

Born September 28, 1926, Flossie affectionately known to her friends and family as Mauzy, was the daughter of the late Martin and Grace Gray.

She is survived by one son, Charles R. Frushour Jr. and his wife Gayle, two stepsons, Thomas Lidie Jr. and his wife Gina, James Lidie Sr. and his wife Brenda, one brother Nelson Gray and his wife Edna, numerous nieces and nephews, and a sister in law Mildred Gray. Surviving also are numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She graduated from Frederick High School. Later in life she worked as a home economics teacher's aid at Thomas Johnson High School.

Flossie enjoyed playing cards with her friends and family, gardening in her flower beds, and she was an excellent quilt maker. She enjoyed quietly sitting and talking with family and friends on her carport. Most of all, Flossie had an unconditional love for her family and friends. She also had an incredible and unwavering faith in our lord, Jesus Christ.

She had many friends who held a special place in her heart. She will be missed greatly by everyone and her gentle ways will never be forgotten.

Pallbearers-Grandsons are Charles Frushour III, Jeremy Frushour, Jason Frushour, Justin Frushour, James Cannon, Thomas Lidie, Michael Lidie, Jamie Lidie, Brant Lidie and Aaron Lidie.

Visitation: Friends may call on Sunday July 19 from 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the Stauffer Funeral Home. P. A. 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick.

Services: Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home chapel on Monday, July 20, at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
