Florella Eichelberger

Florella L. (Ford) Eichelberger, 90, of Sharpsburg, Maryland, passed from this life on Monday, August 24, 2020 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Maryland.  She was the beloved wife of the late Robert Eichelberger.

Born on December 17, 1929, in Hagerstown, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Cyril B. Ford and Helen  (Miner) Ford.

Florella was a graduate of  Hagerstown High School.  She was the assistant Librarian and then the Librarian at the Sharpsburg Library for several years.  Florella retried after 20 years with the USPS in Sharpsburg.  She was a member of Holy Trinity Memorial Evangelical Lutheran Church, Sharpsburg.  Florella was an avid quilter.

She is survived by her son R. Nicholas Eichelberger.

She was preceded in death by her two sisters, Lavenia Jones and Wahneta Bowers.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, August 30, 2020 at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro, MD.

Interment will be at Mountain View Cemetery in  Sharpsburg, Maryland, on Monday, August 31, 2020 at 1PM.

Memorial donations may be made to St. Mark Evangelical Lutheran Church, 201 E. Main Street, Luray, VA 22835.

Masks will be required and social distancing will be observed in accordance with both CDC and Maryland guidelines.
