Mr. Ferdinando J. Parlato, 71, of Middletown, MD passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Catherine Parlato.
Born March 19, 1943 inWashington, D.C. he was the son of the late Thomas and Dominica DiBella Parlato.
Mr. Parlato proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. Prior to his retirement he worded for Hewlett-Packard and Agilent Technologies. Ferdinando loved to serve his church, Holy Family Catholic Community, where he was a long time member. In his spare time he was an avid walker and jogger. He also enjoyed playing the guitar. Ferdinando will be remembered for his quick wit and keen sense of humor.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Lisa Dayhoff of Middletown, MD, Cherie Luytjes and husband Jan of St. Augustine, FL and Thomas Parlato and wife Lucinda of Chandler, AZ; grandchildren Jennifer Dayhoff and Calen Dayhoff; brother Thomas Parlato, Jr. and wife Marilyn of CO and sister Theresa Ringler of WV.
The family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, November 21, 2014 from 6-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Family Catholic Community, 7321 Burkistsville Rd., Middletown, MD on Saturday, November 22 at 1:30PM. Rev. Msgr. Robert J. Jaskot will be the celebrant.
Interment will follow at Reform Cemetery, Middletown.
