Mr. Felipe Moises Alfonso, 86, of Frederick died on Saturday, August 27, 2011 at Kline Hospice House, Mt. Airy. He was husband of the late Marta Vior Alfonso who died in 2005.
Born on September 4, 1924, in Havana, Cuba, he was the son of the late Pedro and Cipriana Gomez Alfonso. He was a mechanical designer for Bechtel. Felipe enjoyed gardening as well as working on his home and car.
Surviving are 4 children: Felipe C. Alfonso of Merrimac, NH, Marta Englehart
of Gaithersburg, Francisco Alfonso of Frederick and Maria St. Onge of Northwood, NH; 2 grandchildren: Philip G. Alfonso and Michelle Alfonso; a brother, Genaro Alfonso of Cuba.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 PM on Thursday, September 1, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick. Services and interment will be private.
