Faye Louise Haupt, 78, of Frederick, Maryland died Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Glade Valley Nursing Home surrounded by family.
Born on September 30, 1936, at home in Burkittsville, Maryland, she was the daughter of John Franklin Haupt, Sr. and Lena Smith Haupt of Frederick, Maryland.
Faye retired from Homewood at Crumland Farms where she was a Medicine Aide and GNA. Prior to her employment at Homewood, Faye worked at Canam Steel, Brosius Homes, and Aerojet General in varied accounting positions.
Faye devoted her life to her animals and loved her grandchildren, Kristen and Brandon, and her great grandchildren, Waylon and Mason.
Faye graduated from Frederick High School in 1953. Faye attended Frederick Community College and John’s Hopkins Nursing Program.
Faye is survived by her daughter, Robin Haupt McNeal and husband Marc McNeal; her grandchildren Kristen Wachter and husband Butch Wachter of Lewistown, Brandon McNeal and girlfriend Molly Reese, and precious great grandchildren Waylon Wachter and Mason McNeal. She is also survived by a nephew Wes Haupt, wife Donna and son C.J. of Fairfield, Pa. In addition, Faye is survived by several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Faye is predeceased by her brother John “Frankie” Haupt, Jr. and wife Patsy Ford Haupt of Frederick.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 23, from 7-9 PM at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD 21702.
