Mr. Farley M. McDavid, Jr., 61, of Mt. Airy, MD., passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012 at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital. He was the husband of Susan Dickinson McDavid, his wife of 18 years.
Born December 26, 1950, he was the son of the late Farley M, Sr. and Viola T. Mc David.
Mr. McDavid was employed at CoreLogic in Rockville, MD.
He is also survived by two children Brian E. McDavid and partner Joanna M. White of DE, and Rebecca F. Skeen of Bristol, VA, grandchildren Jessica L. Henry, Andrew M. Henry and Harper Ann McDavid, a brother Harold McDavid , Johnson City, TN, sisters Nina Bise, Church Hill, TN, Elizabeth Peters, Gate City, VA, Glenna Blankenbeckler and husband Kenneth Gate City, VA and Mable Calhoun and husband Albee David, Kingsport, TN, sister-in-law Margeret A. Galtani and brother-in-law Robert J. Dickinson and wife Ann. He was preceded in death by his siblings Don and Raymond McDavid, Margaret Tipton and Dorothy Doran.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgevile Blvd., Mt. Airy, MD, Sunday July 15, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, where a service will be held at 8:00 pm
Interment private.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 1393 Progress Way, Eldersburg, MD 21784.
