Mrs. Fannie( Biggus) Spencer, 93, of Mt. Airy, MD passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014 at Frederick Memorial Hospital.  She was the beloved wife of the late James L. Spencer, Jr.

Born July 4, 1921 in West Falls, MD she was the daughter of the late Charles R. and Bessie E. Cosley Biggus.

Fannie was formerly a member of Warren Community Church, Mt. Airy.  She loved music, especially blues music and also enjoyed dancing, reading, cooking, playing cards and planting flowers.  Fannie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children Larry Spencer of New Market, Hester Thompson of Frederick, Robin Spencer of Mt. Airy and Kim Spencer and wife Tina of New Market; 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her sons James, III, Robert Sr., Richard Sr.; brothers Thomas, Stanley, Austin and Mahlon and her sisters Christina, Helen, Gladys, Irma, Ethel, Virginia and Mary.

The family would like to thank the Genesis Health Care System, Glade Valley, Dr. Gilson, Dr. Cowan and Stauffer Funeral Homes for all of their care, guidance and support.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Friday, December 12, 2014 from 10-11AM, where a funeral service will begin at 11AM.

Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
