Fannie Mae Lloyd, "Mae" age 74, of Brunswick, passed from this life on Friday, August 31, at her residence. She was the loving wife of Lester Lloyd for over 50 years. Born on March 20, 1944 in Caney Fork, NC, Mae, as she was called by all her family members and friends, was the daughter of the late Holmes Boyd Parker and Mary Etta Henry Parker of Lyman, Wash. Mae was a loving and devoted wife and mother and she was a friend to many.
Mae's family moved from Caney fork to Washington State in 1952. The Lloyd's met in 1964 and were married on July 21, 1966 She was a former member of Faith Assembly of God in Brunswick, and for the past 20 years has been a member of the International Community Church of God in Frederick, where she has faithfully served in the First Impression Ministry. She truly loved her church and served where needed. She worked as a clerk at High's in Jefferson for more than 15 years.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son William M. Harris and two daughters, Tammie K. Whitesel and Teresa M. Donohoe and her husband Rick. She is also survived by a grandson, Samuel L. Harris and a sister, Dorothy L. Wood of Lyman, Wash. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 5 brothers and 3 sisters.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 4 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 North Maple Avenue, Brunswick. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, September 5, at 11:00 am at International Community Church, 123 Byte Drive, Frederick. Pastors Todd Rigney and Bishop Jerry Price will officiate. Interment will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Frederick.
