Faith Griffin
May 19, 1963 — November 3, 2012
Faith A. Griffin, 49, loving daughter, sister, and friend, of Boonsboro, Maryland and formerly of Damascus, Maryland, passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 3, 2012, at her home.
Born on May 19, 1963, in Olney, Maryland, she is the daughter of Ruth E. (Burroughs) Griffin of Boonsboro and the late Morgan L. Griffin, Jr.
Faith attended Damascus High School in Damascus, Maryland.
She was a member of Valley Assembly of God in Hagerstown.
Faith began her working career as a school bus driver for the Montgomery County Public Schools, where she drove for eight years. For the past twenty years, Faith was the night manager in Building Services, also with Montgomery County Public Schools.
In addition to her mother, Faith is survived by two sisters, Donna M. Clay and her husband, Randy of Boonsboro and Jackie K. Griffin of Hagerstown; a brother, Morgan L. Griffin III and his wife, Cathy of Mt. Airy; three nieces, Amanda and Serene Clay and Rachel Griffin; one nephew, Griffin Vizina; one great-nephew, Dawson Clay; her three special friends, Gay, Amy, and Beth; and her special companion, William "Smokey" Gross of Germantown, Maryland. She is also survived by the loves of her life, her dogs, Kelse and Sadie Mae.
In addition to her father, Faith was preceded in death by her loyal pet companion and dog, Moe.
Faith was an animal lover of all kinds and went out of her way to help animals in need. She will especially be remembered for the many animals that she had rescued and the countless donations she made to the Humane Society of Washington County.
For the many friends that Faith had, she was loved by all.
A memorial visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday, November 9, 2012 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 10, 2012 at the Valley Assembly of God, 17544 York Road, Hagerstown, Maryland. The Rev. Robert C. Jones will officiate.
