Evelyn Merchant

Mrs. Evelyn Marie Merchant, 88, of Brunswick, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Shock Trauma in Baltimore following an automobile accident on May 7, 2015.
Born January 17, 1927 in Lander, MD, she was the daughter of the late Lloyd David and May Ida (Fawley) Hale. She was the wife of the late George M. Merchant who passed away August 1, 2009.
She is survived by her sister, L. Virginia Routzahn; step-children, Martin Merchant and Nancy Langley; and step-grandchildren, Kelly, Martin, George, Anthony and Charity.
Mrs. Merchant was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Jefferson. She enjoyed doing yard work and loved her dogs and cats.
A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 Maple Ave., Brunswick with the Rev. Thomas Fralin officiating. Viewing will be held one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, Jefferson.
