Evelyn Elizabeth (Stotler) Kline, 99, of Hagerstown, Maryland, passed from this life on Friday, May 27, 2011 at Reeders Memorial Home in Boonsboro.
Born on June 30, 1911 in Boonsboro, she was the daughter of the late Emory C. and Ada Mae (Thomas) Stotler. Her husband of 60 years, John Martin Kline, preceded her in death on June 30, 1998.
Mrs. Kline was a member of Otterbein United Methodist Church in Hagerstown, where she was a member of the Sterling Bell Sunday School Class.
Evelyn was known to have done sewing and alterations at her home on East Franklin Street in Hagerstown.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty M. Walter of Myersville, Maryland; two grandchildren, Joanna L. Walter of Myersville and Christopher R. Walter of Smithsburg, Maryland; and her two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Daniel Walter. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Evelyn was preceded in death by her brother, Emory C. Stotler, Jr.
A funeral ceremony will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 31, 2011 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro. Rev. Stephen Robison will officiate. Final resting place ceremonies will follow at the Boonsboro Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.
