Mrs. Evelyn V. Jennings, 92, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013 at her home. She was the wife of Grover Jennings, Jr, her husband of 44 years.
Born May 7, 1920 in Weverton, Maryland she was the daughter of the late Paul William and Annie Holmes Tucker.
In earlier years, Mrs. Jennings worked as a sales associate in retail sales. She enjoyed flowers, working in her yard, dancing and flea markets.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Debbie Wolfe Warrenfeltz in Kentucky, grandchildren Pam, Paul, Tina and William, Jr., 10 great-grandchildren, her sister Elizabeth Miller, niece Anna Brookins and nephew Danny Miller. She will be missed by her dog “Dukie” and her cat “Patty Cake. She was preceded in death by her first husband Richard Wolfe, her brother Charles Tucker and a niece Susan Kornacki.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick, MD on Thursday, January 24, from 2-4 and 7-9pm, where services will be held Friday at 1:00 pm
Interment Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
