Evan Lee Young, 29, of Hagerstown, MD went to be with his Savior May 7, 2017. He was born on March 29, 1988 in Youngstown, OH. He is survived by his parents, Donald and Brenda Young; a sister, Kayla Young; a nephew and his best buddy, Ben; and extended family and friends.
Evan was a hard worker that could fix just about anything. He loved the outdoors. From a young age, he enjoyed fishing, hiking, and camping, but most of all, Evan loved music. His favorite thing to do was to attend concerts and sporting events. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Pirates and Penguins fan.
Evan was the most unique and spontaneous person you would ever meet and was always the life of the party. He was an exuberant, happy, goofy guy that always wore a smile. He could make anyone feel welcome, befriended many, and brought an immense amount of happiness, laughter and joy to everyone he encountered. No matter how stormy the weather, Evan always had a light to shine through.
To honor Evan’s memory, we ask that you show others the same kindness and care that he demonstrated. We will all miss his smile, his laugh, and his love.
In lieu of flowers, donations can either be made to Hospice of Washington County, or any Hagerstown PNC branch (payable to Kayla Young; Memo: Evan Young Donation Account), which will be donated to a charity of family’s choice.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, May 28 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro.
