Eva L. Weedon
October 23, 1911 — August 24, 2008
Mrs. Eva L. Weedon, 96 of Point of Rocks, MD., died Sunday, August 24, 2008 at the Golden Living Center in Frederick. She was the wife of the late Reginald Weedon.
Born October 23, 1911 in Point of Rocks, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ella Whalen Bowins.
Mrs. Weedon was a member of Buckeystown United Methodist Church where was a member of the Woman's Society, a communion steward and sang in the choir. She attended Howard University, in Washington, D. C. for two years. Mrs. Weedon enjoyed going to garage sales and working crossword puzzles.
She is survived by three children James H. Jones, Jr. and wife Vera of Lake Wales, FL, Aleta Sims and husband Julius of Powder Springs, GA and Sylvia Goldman of Jefferson, MD, nine grandchildren, and seven great -grandchildren. She was preceded in death by four brothers and sisters, Elsie Bowins, Jessie Bowins, George Bowins and Edith Proctor.

Services: The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike on Thursday, August 28, from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m.. Rev. Roger Rollins will officiate. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.
