Eugene Bell

June 8, 1932 — August 13, 2019

Bell worked for Sears for over 30 years until his retirement.  He was a quiet man who enjoyed his peace and quiet and was an avid Dallas Cowboy Fan.

Bell was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Rita Bell; parents, Eddie and Ella Porter-Bell; step daughter Gloria Jean Stewart, step son Benjamin Joppy; grandson Edward Greene; sisters, Lenora Brown, Josephine Bennett Naomi Barnett, and Marion Holden; and one brother, George Bell.  He leaves behind to cherish his memories, one sister Sara Mitchell of California, one step son William Joppy (Cheryl), one step daughter Ruth Shingles and Goddaughter Deborah Moten.  Devoted grandchildren Allen Rose (Elsie), Richard Greene (Angel), Robert Green, Elydian Morgan, and Michael Dee Thomas (Crystal). Grandchildren:  Felicia Johnson; Demetria O’Neal; LaRita Williams (Rob), William,Stevland (Latoya), Edward, and Blaire Joppy.  Thirty-one Great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren.  Three sister-in-laws -Viola Sellman, Lillie Mae Harriday and Janie Phelps one brother-in-law-Conrad Sellman, He also leaves to cherish his memories a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

The family will receive friends at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on  Saturday, August 24, 2019 from 10-11AM where a celebration of  Eugene's life journey will begin at 11AM.  Pastor Allen Rose will officiate.

Interment will be at Cheltenham Veterans Cemetery in  Cheltenham, MD.
