Mrs. Ethel R. Wimberly, 58, of Frederick died on Wednesday June 17, at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital, Rockville. She was the wife of the late Roger Dale Wimberly who died on July 19, 2004.

Born on March 18, 1951 in Virginia she was the daughter of Leona K. Necessary of Mt. Airy and the late Jasper James Davidson.

In the early 1980s Ethel returned to school to obtain her Nursing Degree. She loved spending time at the beach and enjoyed motorcycles, She loved spending time with friends and family drinking a margaretta, cooking out and partying. She was a sister or mother to anyone she met.

Surviving in addition to her mother are two daughters Katherine A. Fernandez and husband Glenn of Frederick and Susan Hashmall and husband Dean A. of Mt. Airy. Grandchildren Michael R. Salatto, Samantha E. Lucia, Frederick D. Hashmall, Madison A. Fernandez and Austin D. Fernandez. Brother James W. Davidson and wife Sandra J. of Crofton and sister Patricia H. Veilleux and husband Pierre of Frederick.

Also survived by her dearest friend Joe Gavin, her adopted sister Cherl Harding and 6 nieces and nephews and 5 great nieces and nephews.


Visitation: Friends may call on Sunday June 21, at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 East Ridgeville Blvd. Mt. Airy, MD from 3-5 & 7-9pm.

Services: Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 1:00pm.Pastor Don Carpenter will officiate. Interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.

In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Ethel's name should be made to the Children's Hospital Foundation, 111 Michigan Avenue, NW, Washington DC 20010.
