Mrs. Ethel C. Strickler, passed away Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Citizens Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was the wife of the late Benton Strickler.
Born on November 25, 1919 in Mecklenburg, VA she was the daughter of the late Harrey and Ethel Emma Oakley Adcock.
Mrs. Strickler owned and operated a Beauty Shop in Annadale, VA. Ethel really enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her grandson Eugene Hoffman and wife Jacqueline of Frederick, MD and their children Greg, Stephanie, Eric and their granddaughter Autumn; granddaughters Athena Karp and husband Dennis of Ashburn, VA and their children Ryan, Maxine, Yael, Zack and Sam, Michelle De Giorgi and husband Massimo of Germantown and their son Nicholas and Amy Hoffman and fiance Anthony of Germantown and children Mya, Michael and Melvin; brother Doug Adcock of VA and sister-in-law Ina K. Adcock of Richmond, VA and her sister Mildred Riddle of Richmond, VA.
She is preceded in death by her daughter Katherine Hoffman and her son Nicky Mann.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Saturday, September 21, 2013 from 6-8PM with a reception to follow.
Interment will be private.
