Ethel Jamison

March 19, 1925 — February 29, 2012

Ethel Irene Jamison, 86, a lifelong resident of Antietam Furnace, Maryland passed away on Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at the Meritus Medical Center near Hagerstown.

Born on March 19, 1925, in Antietam Furnace, she was the daughter of the late Harry D. and Bertha M. (Burgan) Jamison.

She was a member of Burnside First Church of God in Sharpsburg, Maryland.

Ethel is survived by one granddaughter, Deana Chambers of Boonsboro; three great-grandchildren, Darrell Collison, Katie Fisher and her fiance Christopher Dangler, and Madison Chambers all of Boonsboro; one great-great granddaughter, Savannah Dangler of Boonsboro; and a niece, Reva Crampton. She is also survived by many cousins.

In addition to her parents, Ethel was preceded in death by her daughter, Shirley Collison in 2005; two sisters, Minnie Jamison and Anna Louise DeLauney; three brothers, Harvey, Charles, and Harold "Dean" Jamison; and a grandson, David Collison.

A graveside ceremony will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at Mountain View Cemetery in Sharpsburg. The Rev. Ernest E. Witmer will officiate.
