Esther Augusta Perrygo, 88, of Adamstown, MD, died April 9, 2012. Robert Willis Perrygo, her husband of sixty-seven years, predeceased her in June 2011.
Born on September 4, 1923, in Highmore, SD, she was the daughter of the late Friedrich and Augusta Dittman. She was both a homemaker and a partner in the family business, Perrygo Hardware, in Accokeek, MD. Esther and her husband spent their retirement years in Hollywood, MD, a place that they loved dearly. Her favorite pastimes were cooking, sewing, boating, and her active membership in the Ladies of the Elks in St. Mary’s County.
She was the mother of Robert A. and wife Mary of New Market, MD, Gary and wife Pamela of St. Leonard, MD, and Charles and wife Linda of Gaithersburg, MD. There are five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by thirteen siblings.
Graveside services and interment will be held April 14, 2012, at Evergreen Memorial Gardens, 22020 Chancellor’s Run Road, Great Mills, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct., Glen Allen, VA 23060.
