Esther Kline

Esther L. Kline, 65, of Mt. Airy, MD passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at her home. She was the beloved wife of Charles M. Kline, III for 43 years.

Born January 30, 1951 in Hagerstown, MD she was the daughter of the late Irvin Martin and Ruth Diller Martin. She was preceded in death by her sister Ethel Campbell.

Esther had received her associate's degree in accounting at Frederick Community College. She was employed at the former Farmers and Mechanics Bank in Mt. Airy, and also worked at Martin Electric in her father's electrical business. She spent many years as a teacher at the Mt. Airy Mennonite School, influencing many young lives. Esther was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1987 and it slowly began to limit her activities.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children and fifteen grandchildren.

Charles Kline IV and wife Cretora, and children Cali, Charles V, Bryce, Braden, Jamon, Asher, Joash, and Abram. Becky (Kline) Hilty and husband Robert, with children Amber, Sean, and Savannah. Tim Kline with wife Kim, and children Alayna, Arisa, Londyn, and Raylan. She is also survived by her only brother Irvin Martin Jr. and his wife Rachel.

The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 8 E. Ridgeville Blvd., Mt. Airy on Monday, January 23, 2017 from 2-4PM and 6-8PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 24 at 10AM at the Mt. Airy Mennonite Church, 7101 Watersville Rd. , Mt. Airy. Pastor Jay Dieter will officiate.

Interment will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery.
