Esther Kilgore

Mrs. Esther L. Kilgore, 86, of Frederick, Maryland, passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2011 at the Kline Hospice House. She was the wife of Donald R. Kilgore, her husband of 50 years.
Born May 2, 1925 in Marietta, PA, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mary Schlag.
Mrs. Kilgore was a member of the Viers Mill Baptist Church in Silver Spring, MD where she sang in the church choir for many years. In earlier years she was employed at PEPCO, the Montgomery County Schools and ended her career as a typist for Vitro. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to the beach and serving Meals on Wheels
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Don Kilgore and wife Nicole of Frederick, two grandchildren Jessie and Mackenzie Kilgore, and two brothers James Schlag and Roy Schlag of PA.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick on Saturday, October 1, from 2:00 p.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m.
