Esther Grimm

Born on February 3, 1933, in Boonsboro, she was the daughter of the late Sibert and Anna Mae (Netz) Shoemaker. Her husband of 56 years, Charles G. Grimm, preceded her in death in January 2012.

She is survived by her four children, L. Diane Kendle of Boonsboro, and Robert Grimm, Darlene Pfaff and Patricia Bussard, all of Hagerstown; one sister, Judy Jones of Hagerstown; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren.  She will also be missed by her special feline companion, Princess.

In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Louella Fink and Ruth Henderson; and one brother, Eugene Shoemaker.

A funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 18, 2013 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike, Boonsboro, Maryland.   Rev. Robert V. Robinson and Rev. Alan M. Greijack will officiate.  Final resting place ceremonies will follow at the Boonsboro Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at the funeral home.
