Estelle Blassingame

Mrs. Estelle Elizabeth (Lester) Blassingame, 88, of Mt. Airy, MD (formerly residing in Amarillo, Texas) passed away Monday, August 15, 2011 at the Kline Hospice House. She was the wife of the late Edgar Franklin Blassingame.

Born March 14, 1923 in Gordonville, Texas she was the daughter of the late Louis W. and Virgie L. Lester. Surviving is her daughter Linda and husband Alan Cerrone of Mt. Airy, Maryland and son’s Bill Blassingame and Roger Blassingame of Amarillo, Texas; brother Leo and wife Jerlene Lester of Cartwright, OK, sister Margaret and husband Glenn Cox of Odessa, Texas, and brother Thomas Lester of College Station, Texas ; grandchildren Billy Blassingame, Jr., Tracy McMinn, Melissa Bussell, Tara Harrelson, Brandice Lambertson, Ariel Blassingame and Jerry Blassingame; and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is predeceased by son Edgar F. Blassingame, Jr.; brothers Keith Lester, J.W. Lester, John Lester, Travis Lester; sister Evelyn Doggett and granddaughter Jennifer Blassingame.

Family to receive friends on Friday, August 19, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. and funeral services and interment will be Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Amarillo, Texas.
