Ernest Mongan

Ernest F. Mongan, 52, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, September 5, 2015 at the Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown.
Born on March 28, 1963, in Hagerstown, Maryland, he is the son of Shelva J. Lohman and husband Rodger of Sharpsburg, Maryland, and the late Elmer F. Mongan.
Ernest was a 1981 graduate of Boonsboro High School.
He had worked as a Master Carpenter.
In addition to his mother and step-father, he is survived by his former wife, Susan D. Mongan of Rohrersville, Maryland; one son, Joshua Mongan of Hagerstown; three sisters, Yuba Mellott and Brenda Grove of Boonsboro, and Joyce Kefauver of Stuart, Florida; and twin grandsons, Damian and Zeke Mongan. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two nieces, Michaela Grove and Burgandi Mellott; and his brother-in-law, Jeff Mellott.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 9, 2015, at the Hagerstown Bible Church, 203 Summit Avenue in Hagerstown. Rev. Dale Carver will officiate.
