Mr. Ernest Hockenberry, 68, of Brunswick, MD passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of Patricia Waite.
Born March 13, 1943 in Bellefonte, PA he was the son of the late Ernest Dove and Geraldine Hockenberry.
Mr. Hockenberry proudly served his country in the United States Army. Prior to his retirement he was a truck driver for Car Quest. Ernest was an avid bowler and also enjoyed fishing, hunting, tinkering and collecting old coins.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his children Kimberly Remines, Lisa Calloway and husband Robert, Leslie Waite, Lori Waite, Ernest Hockenberry, II and Wendy Hockenberry; grandchildren Joseph Waite, Richard Wilkins, II, Christopher Wilkins, Craig Remines, II, Clint Remines, Rachel Remines Caroline Calloway and Madison Hockenberry, great- granddaughter Isabella Waite and siblings Rosemary Grimm, Pamela Haines, Michael Dove, Robert Dove and Tina Dove
He is preceded in death by his brother Richard Dove.
The family will receive friends at the Stauffer Funeral Home, 1100 N. Maple Ave., Brunswick on Friday, March 9, 2012 from 6-9PM with a service beginning at 7PM.
Interment will be private.
