Erma V. Disney

Erma V. Disney, 75, of Heather Ridge Apartments, Frederick died on Tuesday, November 21, at her residence.

Born on May 23, 1931, in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Horace Dad and Sarah E.Sallie Jackson Disney.

She worked for a number of years at the Washingtonian Hotel in Rockville and later at J.C. Penny's in Frederick. Erma was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Frederick. She enjoyed listening to gospel music and oldies but goodies, watching her soaps and spending quality time with her family and grand kids.

Surviving are five children: Wayne Disney and wife Sharon, Charles Disney and fiance Tarita Richardson, Debby Disney and fiance Calvin Hall, Joanette Disney and fiance Larry Miller and Moanette Kennedy and husband Sean all of Frederick; 11 grandsons: Myron Giles, Tailis Thomas, Lanander Disney, Wayne Disney, Jr, Charles Disney, Jr, Derrick, Disney, Jerrick Disney, Tyrick Disney, Jahmad Disney, Correll Kennedy and Sean Ambush; 8 granddaughters: Sarentia Milton, Carama Disney, Shizah Kennedy, Caren Disney, Jazmin Disney, Arana Disney, Sheba Ambush and Nicole Ambush; 4 great grandchildren: Ramal West, Taevnay Thomas, Malik Disney and Mykayia Disney; 2 step-grandchildren: Charles Thomas and Adam Richardson; a sister, Dorothy M. Bowie and husband Paul of Frederick and an aunt, Diane Jackson; as well as numerous nieces and nephews including: Paulette Bowie, Janice Dotson, Ruthann Diggs, Larry Carter and Durrell Thomas.

She was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Sarah Bowie, Mary Disney and Josephine Snowden. Erma will also be remembered by friends: Amy Jones, Donny Weedon, Mary Frances Ambush, Thelma Foreman, Barbara Goins, Evonne Goins, Margaret Bowens and Rosie Snowden; as well as her long time friend, Charles Pud Ambush.

Visitation: Friends may call from 3-9 PM on Sunday, November 26, at Stauffer Funeral Home, 1621 Opossumtown Pike, Frederick where the family will receive friends from 6-9 PM.

Services: Funeral services will be held in the funeral home at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 27, with Rev. Rex R. Bowens, Sr. of Jackson Chapel United Methodist Church officiating.

Interment will take place in Fairview Cemetery, Frederick
