Erma Louise (Moss) Phillips, 89, of Boonsboro, Maryland, passed from this life on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Maryland.
Born on November 5, 1923, in Brownsville, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Ira and Hattie (Cochran) Moss.
She was a member of Brownsville Church of the Brethren in Brownsville.
Erma was a cook for Old South Mountain Inn and at Fahrney-Keedy Home & Village in Boonsboro.
She is survived by three sons, Gary and wife Judy Phillips of Boonsboro, Dennis and wife Paula Phillips of Martinsburg, West Virginia, and David and wife Barbara Phillips of Myersville, Maryland; one sister, Betty Yinger of Frederick, Maryland; as well as four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
A graveside funeral ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, November 16, 2012 at the Brownsville Heights Cemetery, 1911 Rohrersville Road, Knoxville, Maryland. Rev. Alan M. Smith will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at the Bast-Stauffer Funeral Home, 7606 Old National Pike in Boonsboro.
