Emory Joseph "Moon" Mullins, 78, of Frederick, Maryland, passed from this life on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at in Frederick, MD. He is survived by his loving wife Carol Mullins. They were married for 52 years.
Born on May 3, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland, he was the son of the late Noel Samuel Mullins and Virginia Dare (Beverly) Mullins.
Known by family and friends as Emory and to his work colleagues as Moon, he worked 50 years with the Mid-Atlantic Carpenters/Pile Drivers Union.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Katherine Scheel, Jennifer Running, and Annamarie Mullins; seven grandchildren Savannah, Morgan, Greyston, Samuel, Mason, Quentin, and Mary; three great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Whitney, and Wattson; and his siblings, Wilma Graham, Wendell Mullins, and Freida Turc.
He was predeceased by a great-grandson, Waylon; and a brother, Charles Mullins.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, February 14, 2025 at Stauffer Funeral Homes, P.A., 8 East Ridgeville in Mt. Airy, MD.
A celebration of Emory's life journey will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 7255 Ridge Road in Mt. Airy.
Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Marriottsville, MD.
