Emmett Pearre, Jr.

Emmett Ray Pearre, Jr., 83, of Frederick passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017 at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore with family by his side.

Born on May 26, 1933, he was the son of the late Emmett Ray Pearre and Lucille Virginia Hawkins Pearre of Thompson's Corner, Maryland. He was the first of seven children.

Emmett enjoyed fishing, hunting, music, history and spending time with family and friends.

He retired from the Marriott Corporation and was a long time member of the Hyattstown Fire Department.

He is survived by his wife, Ann McElfresh Pearre; son, Douglas Pearre and wife, Cindy; and daughter; Pamela West; six grandchildren, Douglas Pearre, Jr. and girlfriend Angela Thurber, Collette Pearre and fiancé Deris Womack, Colleen Pearre, Eugene West III and girlfriend Michelle New, Jonathan West and Sarah Pearre; three great grandchildren, Donald Keene, Jr., Dominique Womack, and Anastasia Pearre; two step great-grandchildren, Megan Thurber and Jessica Wilk.

He also is survived by two brothers, Larry Pearre and wife Nancy, and Dennis Pearre; two sisters, Molly Geisbert and Sally Thompson; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by one sister, Donna Gordon; and a brother, Jerry Pearre.

At his request, there will be no viewing and services will be private.
